Lawn Chair Millionaire (lcm), How Does it Work? Hint: I’ts not What You Think!
About a month and a half ago, my dad sent me an email about this program he found. He had actually already joined and paid the sign-up fee. The program was Lawn Chair Millionaire (LCM). He wanted to get my opinion on this system, so he sent his username and password so I could access the back-office. Although I had access to the full program, I wanted to view the product as If I didn’t, I wanted to see what my dad saw that moved him to action.
Immediately I went to the LCM website and right away there was a capture page with an interesting twist! For those of you that might be new to Internet Marketing (IM), please allow me to explain what a capture page is.
A CAPTURE page or SQUEEZE page is just that, a page designed to capture or squeeze some type of information from the reader usually an email address and first name, sometimes more. This is not done covertly, but voluntarily by the reader. The content on the capture page usually offers some value (i.e. valuable information or a free offer) beyond that page and in order to receive what ever is offered, one must enter the required information to gain access. The information entered has a definite value for the owner of the website in the form of valuable names and email addresses he/she could add to their prospects/leads list. These name and email addresses are then place in a database and used for the current offer or future offers. Sometimes this information is shared or sold to other marketers unless otherwise stated.
Lawn Chair Millionaire’s (LCM’S) capture page was absolutely brilliant! There was this counter called the MONEYLINE POOL. The dollar amount in this counter continued to increase and, upon signing up and actually joining this system, a portion of that money pool would be mine instantly. I would imagine that a large percentage of visitors to this squeeze page would give up their email address promptly to learn more about this program. Although already having access to the back office, I wanted to continue my research as someone brand new to this system so I entered in a seldom used email address and my name to advance to the pitch page. Again, if you’re new to this, allow me to explain the purpose of the pitch page.
Well, a pitch page is designed to pitch or sell you something. The principles are the same for any type of sales on or offline. Now, if analyzed, a product’s pitch page can tell you a lot about the validity of that product. Things get a little trickier when we’re dealing with intangible products such as systems like Lawn Chair Millionaire. The pitch for these types of intangible or informational products has to walk a thin line of giving you enough information to make an INFORMED decision, without giving the actual secrets away. In any case you should have a clear understanding about what this product can do for you before you’re expected to make a decision.
So what did I learn from the Lawn Chair Millionaire pitch/sales page?? Absolutely nothing! At first I thought that maybe I was missing something but page after page (5 of them) there was nothing but that Moneyline Pool (that brilliant creation designed to entice me) and loads of double talk along with a bunch of testimonials. There was ABSOLUTELY NOTHING that gave me any clarity on how this product would benefit me or how I could use it to make money. I could determine, however that it was some type of MLM program. I like MLM programs, but that wasn’t good enough for me. Before I give up any money, I would need to determine how I could promote this product to others, creating a down line. I figured if I could promote it to others, then they could promote it as well, we all benefit. Lawn Chair Millionaire did not make this information remotely clear in their pitch.
I hope this article has given you some clues about what to look for when considering any product or system to join, especially if it requires your money to start. But I know you’re wondering what was in the back office? Remember, all through this process of exploration I had not logged into the back office. Now it was time to see what the fuss was all about?? What was my dad’s share of the Moneyline Pool (HOW MUCH MONEY WAS ALREADY SITTING IN HIS ACCOUNT)? How does the system really work? Could I really make money with Lawn Chair Millionaire?? The answers will shock you!
